That Difficult Second Post

And now for that awkward second post!  Because you had some good feedback for your first and you now are feeling the pressure of having to replicate that previous success.  To me, it is comparable to that of waking up the next morning after having sex (for the first time) with a person you have had a crush on for a long time!  You know, when you wake up first and play potential scenarios of what will happen when they wake up?  Personally, two main scenarios play in my head.  The first is the positive i.e. we have amazing morning sex (or at least bacon rolls and coffee).  The second is they throw a tissue at me, tell me to ‘clean myself up and the money is on the table’.  Thankfully, this has never happened and is usually more along the lines of ‘we aren’t going to tell any about this, are we?’.  Oh wait...
Moving on, the main topic of my blog today is goal number 1!  Living in Asia!  First of all, I have general believe that living in another would be a great experience and would help broaden my horizon (not to mention give me a little more credibility as a population geographer who claims to specialise in the developing world).  As for Asia, I have long been interested in the various histories and cultures of different Asian countries e.g. Vietnam, Nepal, Cambodia and China and would find it mind-blowing to immerse myself fully into such culturally rich countries.  That and I fucking love noodles.
In other news that no-one really cares about, I finally got round to finishing Deathnote!  Got to say, loved it episode of it.  How someone was able to make an anime (and manga) about some writing names into a notebook interesting, clearly shows that someone (Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata in this case) has amazing writing talent (as opposed to a certain blogger) and the ability to create pin-drop tension through dialogue only.  Truly stunning animation and characters, I actually found myself drawn into the main characters (twisted) ideal, and thoroughly enjoyed the back and forth between the two main characters.  The only major downside is that I felt the end section was slightly rushed but that is a minor flaw (look at me playing serious reviewer).  I would recommend the series to anyone.
Finally, as I have talked way too much today, I will once again leave you with some links!  This evening, it is two friends of mine who are more talented bloggers than I could ever hope to be!

What I Like Doing Best is Nothing - An interesting and insightful look into the life of Aimee-Louise, a new mother!  Always a great read and is especially great if you like Disney!

Wit seeks Wisdom - Erin!  A great blog and an amazing artist thrown in as well! A great read and the rare opportunity to see an amazing artist as she breaks out, which I feel she will soon!

Finally, Raised Fist!  A great Swedish hardcore band and always worth a listen!

Well, I have tried too hard and used too many Parentheses.  Night!
